“ Have been here numerous times with family and friends and each time they have not disappointed. One of the best all you can each shabu shabu in town, possibly in SoCal as a whole. For meat selection they serve a choice of chuck top blade, briskets, chuck eye roll, pork belly, chicken breast, and lamb meat (unlimited order). But note there is a 90 minute time limit. At the end of the restaurant, there are about 7 stations that consist of various seafood, veggies, side dishes, sauces, and shaved ice stations. Here is a breakdown of the different stations: 1. Veggie station: Napa cabbage, bokchoy, spinach, pumpkins, broccoli, cilantro, bean sprouts, zucchini, onions, and carrots. 2. Noodles (ramen, udon, rice noodle, flat noodles, clear noodles), rice cakes, dumplings, fish cakes, mushrooms, lotus, tofu, corn on the cob, and sausage. 3. Seafood: shrimp, mussels, clams, crab, crayfish, white fish, baby octopus, fish balls, fish cakes, imitation crab. 4. Sauces: minced garlic, green onions, cilantro, chili oil, jalapeño, grated radish, Korean spicy paste, miso/spicy miso, wasabi, sesame seeds, sugar, red pepper, black pepper, sriracha, hoisin sauce, sesame oil. Soy sauce and ponzu and peanut sauce is at the table. 5. Side dishes: kimchee, clear noodles, chicken wings, ribs (honestly not work wasting your tummy space on) 6. Dessert: shaved ice with toppings to add (condensed milk, red bean, cheeky rice cakes, fruity pebbles, fruit cocktails. Very good option for shabu shabu with very seasonal price point. Been coming here for years and will continue to visit. ”
“ Dada Shabu is hands down one of the best Shabu place I've been to! The meat quality is pretty good for the price, and what really sets it apart is the ability to create your own broth. You can adjust it to your liking with different pastes like mala and miso from the self-service bar, which makes for a totally customizable experience - I even used some to make my sauce! The hot foods are also a hit, especially their original fried chicken - crispy and flavorful! To top it all off, they have a shaved ice bar for dessert. Staff are all friendly and quick! Highly recommend! ”
“ Arrived around 6pm on Monday and there was no wait. All the staff were so friendly and attentive, 10/10 service! Weekday all you can eat price was $36/person. We loved all the different options at the buffet area, but wished the soy sauce and hoisin sauce weren't in plastic packets. The best meat option was #1 Chuck Top Blade. My bf is usually a fan of lamb but he didn't like it here. We tried the shave ice, but we unfortunately were not a fan of this either. Prob would've enjoyed it they had other sauce / fruit / chocolate topping options as well! Overall great service and great variety. Would come back! ”
“ This place must have gone through some sort of an upgrade because everything is better than before. The quality of the meats and the rest of the food has gone up. Staff are constantly cleaning and filling the ingredients bar. The veggies are washed well. The servers are courteous, fast, and clear your used dishes right away. I visited recently twice: 11:30 am (when they open) and 1:40 pm, both on a Saturday. Note the following house rules: --All parties must be present to be seated. This makes sense because of the next rule. --Your dining time is limited to 90 minutes. This may be a plenty of time for some, but not enough for a large party to eat and talk. For large parties, you kind of have to focus on eating. --For a party of 2, the maximum number of meat dishes you can have on your table at any given moment is 3. For a party of 5, it is 6. I assume you add +1 to the number of parties. But you can order more meat as soon as the number falls below the maximum. --There is a last-call for meats, but well before closing. For example, we were informed that the last-call would come in 40 minutes when we got seated at 1:40 pm. You can guess that we were inhaling meat like no tomorrow during the first 30 minutes. Here are some areas of improvement: --The tteokpoki (Korean spicy rice cake) is consistently bad/mediocre in flavor. I get it, the sauce is, surprisingly, difficult to get right, and each time you make it, it will come out differently. But this is a restaurant, so I'm going to expect something better than what I make at home. --The japchae (Korean glass noodle with veggies) is the worst. There is zero flavor in the glass noodles, and japchae is one of those dishes that are easy to flavor. This is inexcuseable. For the bar food, I recommend their fried chicken and the sesame ball for dessert. I didn't use their bingsoo (shaved ice) bar, so can't comment on that part of the restaurant. I will definitely return for more. ”
“ For a group of 10 we waited around 30 minutes and got waited on quickly. It's $35.99 for dinner prices which includes ayce meat and access to their buffet. I liked that it had hot foods like Korean styled fried chicken and fried shrimp - it did not have to slap as hard as it did. There were a ton of seafood, vegetables and sauces to flavor to broth to your own taste. For dessert there's shaved ice and there's a soda machine for unlimited soft drinks. Overall, the buffet area was clean. The space between tables is small so you will need to maneuver through. ”
